Tri supported me throughout my application process to both US and UK universities. I applied to a total of 17 universities and the process proved to be highly successful, resulting in offers from LSE, UCL, Columbia, Brown, UChicago, UC Berkeley, UCLA, and others. Prior to working with Tri, I was unfamiliar with the US application process, but together we navigated the different requirements, placed strong emphasis on extracurricular activities, and refined my Common App essay.

There were several aspects of Tri’s service that I found particularly valuable, especially his flexibility and commitment. Applying to 17 colleges meant I was constantly writing essays and working to meet tight deadlines. Tri was always available to review my work, provide thoughtful feedback, and help streamline the process, which enabled me to stay on track and submit all of my applications on time.

Working with Vu really helped me a lot. He helped me with both physics and interview preparation. Before we started, I had a lot of conceptual misunderstandings and found physics quite overwhelming at times, especially topics like electromagnetism and circuits. I also wasn’t very confident when it came to exams and quizzes.

Vu’s mentoring style made a big difference because he explained things really clearly and in a way that was easy to follow. Our sessions were always patient, supportive, and tailored to the areas I needed the most help with.

After working with him, I felt much more confident in physics and much better prepared overall. There was also a clear improvement in my results and I felt much more comfortable tackling difficult questions.

Throughout the guidance process, Tri provided thorough and meticulous support at every stage of my application. I honestly can’t thank Vu enough for his help. Coming from the Irish school system, I realised pretty quickly that I had a massive gap to bridge in Further Maths to even stand a chance at the TMUA and STEP exams. We ended up pulling off something I thought was impossible: powering through four Further Maths books in just a single month of after-school sessions.

Vu also helped me with my Applied Maths project, using his engineering background to help the whole thing ‘click’ in a way I didn’t expect. What I loved most was his teaching style. He doesn’t just hand you a list of formulas to memorise; he teaches you the underlying fundamentals so you can actually deduce the answers yourself.

Because of our work together, I managed to get an offer to study Mathematics at Cambridge. If you’re looking for someone who can help you actually ‘get’ maths rather than just pass a test, Vu is definitely the person to go to.

Applying to university is one of the most consequential decisions you’ll make, and I was lucky to have Tri’s guidance every step of the way.

My biggest challenge was writing a personal statement that could convince LSE admissions tutors of my passion for Politics and Economics, coming from a high school student with no formal background in either subject. Tri didn’t just help me polish my writing; he helped me think. Drawing on his own Cambridge supervision experience, he pushed me to engage seriously with political theory and structure my ideas with academic rigour. More importantly, he helped me connect my extra-curricular activities into a coherent narrative that genuinely reflected who I was and what I wanted to study.

The results exceeded my expectations: I received offers from 4 out of 5 universities I applied to, including LSE, where I went on to study Politics and Economics. The critical thinking and communication skills I developed through Tri’s mentorship have stayed with me, opening doors to careers at Revolut and Bank of America.

Vu helped me with fluid mechanics, a module I studied in my first year of university. I struggled with this module a lot as I found myself only memorising methods step by step rather than trying to understand the physics behind the problems, and because of this I couldn’t tell what the questions were looking for if there were any changes in phrasing.

Through Vu’s lessons and his effort in constantly making sure I touched upon all sorts of questions, I was eventually able to identify what the question wanted and understand the physics behind why I should use certain methods. Vu always made sure to go through every question we had done, ensuring I was confident with all of it, and always making sure I didn’t run out of problems to solve. Vu’s method of explanation and demonstration was always very clear and straightforward, and he also never made me feel like I was asking a stupid question.

Before the lessons, I had previously failed my summer exam and re-sit exam. With Vu’s help, I was able to pass the module.

Before working with Tri, I was honestly in quite a messy place. I had no idea where to start, overwhelmed by the number of schools, countries, and programmes to choose from, and anxious about the process ahead.

Tri helped me make sense of it all. He took the time to understand my priorities — school culture, study environment, programme content — and guided me through every step, making sure nothing was missed and every deadline was met.

The results spoke for themselves: I was accepted by both of my top choices, KEDGE and Grenoble Ecole de Management, each offering me a €3,000 scholarship, among the highest available to non-EU students. I am now in Paris, studying for my Master’s in International Business at GEM.

Tri made what felt impossible feel manageable. If you are looking for someone to guide you through your university application, I cannot recommend him enough.

One of the hardest parts of applying to UK universities was not knowing what admissions tutors were actually looking for in a Personal Statement. The UK system only requires one essay for all your choices, which sounds like an advantage, but makes it incredibly difficult to write something that resonates across every university on your list.

Tri helped me with the entire process from start to finish. He began by helping me connect experiences and achievements that seemed unrelated on the surface, weaving them into a coherent story that genuinely reflected who I am. When it came to the writing itself, he pushed me to make every sentence sharper and more concise, essential when the word limit leaves so little room for everything you want to say.

I applied to five UK universities and received offers from King’s College London and Queen Mary in Law. My Personal Statement was also commended by UCL. I am now studying Law at King’s College London.

The personal statement was the hardest part of my UK university application; it’s so open-ended and I didn’t know how to approach it. Tri was extremely helpful in editing my personal statement. He gave me great examples and advice throughout the process. Without his guidance, I would have struggled to figure out the right tone and structure that universities wanted.

Thanks to his support, I received offers to study Law from KCL, LSE, Warwick, and Reading. I’m very grateful for his help!

During my sixth form years, I was struggling with A Level Further Maths since I found the mechanics component too abstract for me. Vu mentored me and helped me since my day 1 of Further Maths. He patiently went over ‘Physics’ 101 with me so I can understand core principles before starting on exercises.
